ECIT Digital partners with Taxera to bring global tax compliance to its customers

The agreement integrates Taxera’s tax compliance platform with ECIT Digital’s intelligent document processing, giving customers a complete path from unstructured documents to validated tax filings.

ECIT Digital has signed a new partnership with Taxera Technologies, a next-generation global tax compliance platform. The agreement integrates Taxera’s SAF-T, VAT reporting and reconciliation capabilities into ECIT Digital’s offering, giving customers a single managed pipeline that takes any inbound document and turns it into compliant, filed tax data across multiple jurisdictions.

The combined service is expected to become increasingly valuable as e-invoicing and continuous transaction controls become mandatory across the European Union and other markets, where multinational customers face a growing patchwork of country-specific rules. Through the integration, ECIT Digital customers will be able to extend their existing document automation into full tax compliance, without procuring or integrating a separate platform.

Rune Skåren, Managing Director, ECIT Digital, said: “Our customers were already converting any document into structured data. The natural next question was: what happens to that data once tax authorities are involved? Taxera answers that question better than anyone we have seen. Together, we cover the full journey, from a supplier PDFdropped into an inbox to a validated VAT submission, in any market our customers operate in.”

Under regimes such as VAT in the Digital Age (ViDA) in the European Union, e-invoices must now be issued and reported in compliance with new standards, with each market introducing its own specific characteristics. The Taxera platform handles those local variations natively, while ECIT Digital ensures that the documents feeding into the process arrive as clean, structured data, regardless of their original format.

Paul Antunes, CEO , Taxera, said: “ECIT Digital’s strength in document capture, combined with our compliance platform, means customers no longer have to choose between automation and compliance. They get both, in one managed flow, designed for the realities of multi-country operations.”

The partnership is available to ECIT Digital customers fromtoday.
